DisneyKidsDad Posted September 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2013 My family and I are taking a RCCL cruise out of Puerto Rico in May. My daughter is a full time wheelchair user. Her manual chair does not fold. We plan on flying in the day before the cruise and maybe staying a day after the cruise. I have read that there are no wheelchair accessible cabs on the island. Can someone who has been through this tell me the best way to get from the airport to our hotel? Then from the hotel to the cruise terminal? Then from the terminal back to the hotel? Then from the hotel to the airport? Also...can someone recommend a hotel that has a good location to all of the above and maybe within walking distance to some sightseeing? I tried the number but I got someone that just said hola, not anything about the company. Maybe they no longer exist. And the search continues. :(
mdvlprof Posted September 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2013 You should find something. We stopped at San Juan on cruise Dec 2011. I recall seeing tour shuttles that looked accessible, but I didn't look for names. The free tram/bus that stops at the main sight-seeing spots is accessible.
