EagerToCruise Posted July 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2005 I am gathering information for a large group of friends preparing to sail on the Splendour of the Seas early next year. A question I'm hearing alot is what brands of alcohol are available to purchase in the duty-free shop and what kind of prices? Also, I have read that there is a $9.50 consumption charge to take your purchase to your room. I would like to know from someone who has actually been on this particular ship if this is indeed the case. We are sailing the Western Caribbean itinerary out of Galveston. Thank you so much for any help you can give.
EagerToCruise Posted July 5, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted July 5, 2005 Has noone been on the Splendour recently?
EagerToCruise Posted July 6, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 6, 2005 Please help a girl out! Actually I just found the information about the $9.50 consumption charge per bottle on Royal Caribbean's website. It also listed brands of beer they sell on tap and the top bottled beer with prices. However, they did not list brands of alcohol available in the duty-free shop. This was also in general, not ship-specific. So if anyone knows what's available on Splendour, I'd appreciate your input. EagerToCruise Posted July 6, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted July 6, 2005 My bad!!! I looked again and it was on CruiseCritic's website that I found the $9.50 fee and beer information. If noone can answer my questions, I guess we'll just take our chances that we'll find something we like to drink. That shouldn't be a problem. ;) Last post, I promise.
