What to do within walking distance of Port

Hi all,

I will be in Ocho Rios this january on a cruise. We are planning to book a tour with peat taylor for blue hole, and the zipline but we want to walk around some and explore when we are done if we have enuf time. Other that the TYPICAL port town shops is there anywhere we can walk to for more authentic type shops etc? What my fiance wants to check thinks out more after the tour so we dont just spend our whole day with the guide
