Just off the Paradise - ask me anything

Just got off the Paradise this morning. Driving home so I got time on my hands. We had a great time. No complaints except for the weather but can't control that. We still did 2 excursions through Carnival: Stingrays, Hell & Turtles in Grand Cayman and Dolphin push pull and swim in Cozumel. Both were amazing experiences. I will post a detailed review later.

I'm glad I didn't spend extra money on the Faster to the Fun upgrade. The few times I had to go to guest services the line wasn't long. I didn't see or hear anything announced at the ports for them to get off early. We got on the ship right after them during embarkation. Nothing was announced for debarkation either. We were delayed getting off this morning because of some non U.S. citizens didn't go to the place they needed to and they kept announcing for them. We did self assist and were off at 10.

I know Paradise doesn't have a steakhouse, so I was wondering if it had that thing where they serve samples before supper. Not sure what it's called.

 

They did have a tasting place near the casino/promenade but I never tried it. I didn't care for the prime rib or the lobster on formal night. The bacon mac n cheese was great, crabcakes too.

Did u spend anytime at the casino bar and if so, how was the entertainment there? Thanks Stormy Will be onboard the 30th this month.

 

There was a rock band, Trimmer, I think - I didn't stay to listen to their music but from what I heard walking by I didn't care for it. Others seemed to though.

I was also on this cruise the country -rock band was very good we thought, also thought the lobster was fine had some of the best waiters ever and room attendant was great.

First time on the Paradise last Jan and thought the whole crew was one of CCL best. Will check out the rock-country band, IMO much better than latin.
