I am waiting on a cabin assignment for Nov. Does Princess ever assign on the weekend or is there no reason to look on the website on the weekends for one. Question is, has anyone received a cabin on the weekend?

you could receive a cabin anytime up till you check in, just have to keep checking the personalizer

I don't know your situation, but I took a gty once and did not receive until two weeks before I left. I think it depends on how your cruise is selling. The cruise I am taking in Oct was selling slow. I know people on qty on our role call were notified of an upgrade and given a cabin assignment. Then the price went down even further. If it is selling quicker it could be a while before you get the assignment.
