fuller7586 Posted September 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2013 I have been viewing this forum for years, but since I can't find an answer I decided to make an account and ask the community for an answer to my question lol A few years back I sailed out of NYC on a 3 day and the poker was 5/10 Limit poker, which really sorta sucked, as you can lose a lot of money quick. I was wondering if the 8 day cruise out of Splendor runs poker tables that have 1/2 No Limit or if it runs higher limit games. Also, I just was wondering how this cruise was overall? I am looking at Feb 2015, so I am wondering how much coldness to expect and stuff like that. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!!!
rju713 Posted September 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2013 I can't offer info on the poker but we went on the splendor in may. I took my bf, who went on one other cruise in his life (another line) and swore he would never cruise again. He loved carnival and the splendor so much we booked the glory in August and we are back on the splendor for January. You will have a great time she's a great ship

I believe the Texas Holdem table is no limit so if you have some big bettors at your table you could go down in a hurry if you are a little bettor like me. cfasting Posted September 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2013 From my last cruise on the Splendor, the poker was set up as $1/$2 NL. Hope this helps and good luck! Claus

I figured it might be. Did you go in the winter time? I'm wondering how it is during the first and last day as sea since it is probably cold outside. Feelin' Nauti' Posted September 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2013 I will check out the tables while on my cruise... and will come back with the info. If the tables are $1/$2 NL I might be sitting there for a while. :o :D
cfasting Posted October 3, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2013 fuller: I went on Splendor when it was out of Long Beach doing the Mexican Riviera run during Thanksgiving 2011. So, afraid I can't help much with the weather with the new itinerary. Heavy rain in Long Beach when we left (I thought it never rains in Southern California!?) Otherwise, lovely all around and warm enough to snorkel in PV on Thanksgiving day. :)
