How early to see ship come into port?

We will be on the Victory July, 17 on the Western itinerary. I've read posts of people that got up early and watched as they were coming into the ports. How early would I need to get up?

5:30am to 6:30.

It really just depends... we have gotten into ports in the middle of the night, and sometimes not until later in the morning... depends on the timing, etc. Most of the time, you get into port earlier than what is listed, so if you are up a couple hours earlier, you have a good shot...

I looked at the NOLA webcam this weekend. Fortunately, it lets you go back in time, so you don't have to be awake to see things. The Conquest docked at 4am.:eek:

how do u get it to go back in time? and which website do you use??? The one I use is for the port of new orleans, but i dont think u can go back in time on it....:confused:

www.nola.com and then go to webcam section at the top, pick "Bridge Cam" and then select the time and date you want....but with all of that said....NOLA.com is doing a Cindy Special Edition and the webcams aren't up.
