ca cruzers Posted July 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Has anyone disembarked in San Juan with a scooter? Hubby has MS and does not NEED it but would like to be more mobile onboard. Our concern is getting accessible ground transportation to the airport at the end of the cruise. We have a flight at 12noon and he obviously cant go running through the airport!!! Any input? Thanks! Splinter Posted July 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2005 If you have a 1200 flight in San Juan, you aren't going to have time to do any touring. You are unlikely to be off the ship before 9AM, and what with the 2 hour minimum time to be at the airport ahead of your flight with a disability, you need to leave right from the airport. Both times we flew from San Juan the ship arranged a wheelchair accessible cab for (we still had to pay), but we needed that as we cannot transfer. if you can transfer, and take your scooter apart, you may be able to take a regular cab (they are often vans).
