75Vette Posted September 27, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Thank you, I will. I have not been notified, but some friends of our riding down with us said they got an e-mail from Carnival stating there would be a delay. I called my PVP and she said there was no delay. okwriter Posted September 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Last time I cruised the Magic (April), we got that same email. We went early anyway, like we always do. There was no delay. :)

There was no delay. :) I've been on many sailings from Galveston and other than weather related delays embarkation has started as usual between 11ish and noon. Even when the email is sent out, it's not sent to everybody and on each occasion that I've received it there has not been any delay.
EnTnSA Posted September 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Has anyone been notified of delay in boarding this coming Sunday due to a routine quarterly immigration inspection at Galveston? We got the same notice when we cruised back in June, we arrived at 11 just like normal, and had 0 delay. I think it is a preemptive thing due to the fact that occasionally, customs may take a bit more time when the ship comes in from Belize. Not sure why, but just what I have heard.
