What is the cheapest (least expensive) cabin type to be had on a NCL ship?

In general inside cabin. Which specific subcategory within insides is the cheapest varies by the cruise, booking time, etc.

Yep, inside cabin usually on a lower deck.. on the Gem and Dawn decks 4 and 5. On the Breakaway we are in an inside on deck 14...it was about $60 more per person when i booked to be in a better location.

An inside guarantee. Usually the cheapest of them all.

Thanks! I'm looking for an inexpensive cabin for our adult son. I've really often wondered -- do last minute bookings go cheaper, or do the cheap seats fill up quickly?

It really depends upon which ship...If your son will be travelling solo and on a ship that offers studio cabins. (Epic and Breakaway only I believe) Studio cabins might be the least expensive.
