MikeyA53 Posted October 29, 2013 Author #953 Share Posted October 29, 2013 Both Tracy and Arielle look fabulous in their dresses! Where did Tracy get her dress, I want one like it! Thanks! She got it at 'Le Chateau'. It's a Canadian chain of women's apparel. Maybe you can check on line.
MikeyA53 Posted October 29, 2013 Author #954 Share Posted October 29, 2013 Is Grand Turk a teenie island? This part of the trip is getting even more interesting since this is our itinerary on our next trip. Yes, it's small.

No lockers, everyone put their stuff in a shed and they locked it up.

MikeyA53 Posted October 29, 2013 Author #961 Share Posted October 29, 2013 . It was a short boat ride to the edge of the big drop. It goes from a depth of about 45 feet to 7000 feet. If you drop anything there it’s gone for good. I had a flotation device (strap) for my camera. At 45 feet At the 7000 feet drop all you see is light rays and an accompanying eerie feeling. One of the guides near the edge. .
lifeisgoodPat Posted October 29, 2013 #962 Share Posted October 29, 2013 One of the guides near the edge. . That looks positively scary ! I don't think that I would like to do that. I always want to be able to see the bottom! I guess I am just a sissy......
Litewait Posted October 29, 2013 #963 Share Posted October 29, 2013 We did this with Pap J tours on the Freedom in August. Such a cool site. Loved the drop off~ Great pics!:D
MikeyA53 Posted October 29, 2013 Author #964 Share Posted October 29, 2013 . I did a 360 degree turn video of the drop Once you are dropped off at the edge you do not get back in the boat. A couple of guides lead us slowly back towards shore, stopping along the way to check out interesting marine life. The boat was with us at all times in case someone needed something. The guides were very helpful, one of them took my camera a couple of time and dove down to take photos of marine life. Tracy Arielle .

Gingee Posted October 30, 2013 #969 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Now do the tourists dive into the deep deep area or just close? Also how do you steer those gizmos?
MikeyA53 Posted October 30, 2013 Author #970 Share Posted October 30, 2013 . This was a fun excursion; the girls really liked the three speeds power snorkel scooters that allowed them to so dive deep without much effort. I’m not much of a diver; I tried a couple of times without success. I found out afterwards that I was trying to do it at the lower speed and I should have had it at top speed. I mostly sat on mine and took photos. Here is an embarrassing video of me trying to dive like the girls. .
Don1966 Posted October 30, 2013 #971 Share Posted October 30, 2013 . Here is an embarrassing video of me trying to dive like the girls. . Brave admission Mike. We would of never known your intentions. I hope I can get the hang of it with my action cam next week without dropping it into the abyss. Thanks again for getting me even more psyched! Just over 4 days to go! Yee haa!

It's up to you if you want to dive in the abyss. You steer by simply turning the machine from side to side or up and down. Mike
