PrincessJen1977 Posted September 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2013 I've been reading many threads about shore excursions and unable to find the best answer.. I've been deciding on a dolphin excursion for when we're in Nassau and believe that Blue Lagoon will be better then Atlantis, I like the idea of bringing our own cameras and taking pictures.. Carnival does offer this directly for 139.99 and Dolphin Encounters offers for $98.. The only difference that I see is that through Carnival you're picked up directly at the pier instead of going to the other pier via taxi.. Am I missing something here? Why is there a $40 pp difference? There will be 5 of us so $40 pp is a lot.. Is booking through Carnival still best to ensure getting back to the ship? We will be at port from 8 - 5pm.. Thanks. It's likely that this decision will be made for you. Carnival has a contract with Blue Lagoon prohibiting them from selling their programs to cruisers. You MUST purchase thru the cruiseship. Of course, some folks lie and don't tell them that you are with Carnival.. but your towels will say differently. BL can lose thier contract.
