Carnival Fantasy 9/26/13

This was my second time on this ship. Across the board there were highs and lows.

My husband and I were in cabin M24. It's a port hole cabin. I love port hole cabins. Our room steward, Iyomani, was wonderful. Our dining staff, Rico and Alex were great. Bar service, compared to these to two, was absolutely horrible. I received pool side service ONCE. Wasn't because of lack of trying either. We received bar service in the dining room twice. The second time we had to ask our server to get the bar server. The second to the last night I went to guest services and had bar tips removed. She did ask why and I explained that my walking to a bar did not warrent a tip for the bar server.

On cruise elegant night I saw everything from men in uniform to dockers and a button down and evening gowns to Sunday dresses. One choice or the other did not enhance or ruin my cruise experience.

The food selection on the cruise was nice and plentiful. My selections were always served hot and as ordered. On a side note, parents, please do not plan late seating (8:15pm) with a 2 y/o. Thank You.

There seemed to be plenty of activities. Both inside and out. I personally did not participate in any of the planned activities. I cruise to do nothing.

Nassau and Freeport haven't changed.

I found Risa, the cruise director, to be annoying. She spoke too fast and didn't enunciate her words. She was very difficult to understand.

Embarkation and debarkation were uneventful.

This is my take on my cruise. YMMV :)

If you have any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them.

I was on the same cruise, and I agree on all counts. Funny thing, we were on the sept 21st cruise also, and received much better service with bar servers dancing attendance almost constantly. I too, do not like Risa, she just grates on me. Who ever the CD was on the sept 21st cruise was was much better. I liked him a lot. One annoyance, we never received the bottle of wine the casino sent us, because we didn't dine in the dining room. Found out the last day, and the casino host couldn't do anything about it. We did get the wine sent to our cabin for the Sept 26 cruise, you'd think they could have done that on my first leg, don't you? A heads up, when on the Behind the Fun tour don't pile all in one elevator. We had 16 and of course got stuck between floors. Not nice, and no apology s after at all.

We took a taxi to the port, and arrived around 10:30, we had to wait until 11:15 for the first shuttle. I would not get there before 11 if parking at the port. They have to vacate the parking building of previous cruisers before they will let you park. FTTF really is faster, we were eating in Windows by 11:45. Very fast getting aboard. Had a nice cruise.
