We booked our 3rd cruise with Carnival Breeze for this coming Jan 2014. We just got off the Freedom of the seas Royal Caribbean. We where not happy with Jamaica and Mexico with our small kids.

So Carnival Breeze goes to Aruba, Grand Truk, La Romana and Curaco. We figured these where nicer islands. We want to book a shore excursions for La Romana.

Question, what can we do in La Romana with a 3 and 5 year old that only like beaches? We are not comfortable leaving them on the ship.

you could....

Take a 15 minute taxi ride to Bayahibe beach - perfectly safe with calm water and plenty of natural shade.

There are taxis (minivans) at port. A shared one will be less expensive at around $US10-15pp round trip.
