NCAA Football on Allure

Recommended Posts

For those of you who have already sailed on Allure or Oasis this football season... Do they show any of the big matches of the day somewhere on board?

I asked this a while before this season started and got some responses and some unwanted SEC homerisms mixed in. Just would like to get some current confirmation.

Thanks!

I went during the NCAA basketball tourney and they had all the games on in the on air club (I think that is what it is called) and I saw NFL games on one trip in December. I'm sure you will get several of the games but it will most likely be the basics (ABC, ESPN, etc.). At night they usually do karaoke or other things so you can watch games sitting at the bar but you would have to listen the the singing or whatever else is going on.

Awesome. Thanks. Hopefully Clemson vs. FSU will be on somewhere.

That's funny as I am an Alumni of, you guessed it, FSU. My guess is it will be an 8 pm game and it will be on in the on air club. Worst case you could watch it in your cabin but I doubt you would have to do that. If I were you I would go to the bar the first day and let them know the time of the game and channel and ask if they can make sure it is on for you or let you know where you could watch it. The casino bar may show it as well but I just can't remember if they had TVs there. Interestingly, they have TVs above the cantilevered hot tubs so you can actually keep an eye on the day games there if you are out by the pool. I'll refrain from trash talking as I think it will a tight but great game. Good thing for you is there is plenty to drink if you win and plenty to drink if you lose. Have fun.

Thanks for the tips. I booked the cruise before the football schedule came out and I had a feeling it could be a BIG game not just for the ACC, but nationally. It's going to be tough. I'm just glad it's at home. We'll need all the help we can get. :)
