djhsolara Posted October 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2013 I've been looking for this on the board but can't seem to find it. Has anyone been to the Balmoral Island excursion in Nassau? Any thoughts on this? Is it beautiful and/or worth the time/excursion? Is it like a mini Half Moon Cay? Sent from my iPad
Spaniel Lover Posted October 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2013 I enjoyed it a lot on my recent cruise on the Carnival Conquest. It's a really nice beach, plus there's a swimming pool... and a restaurant and bar. Roaming waiters will bring food or beverages right to your lounger. I also totally loved the fact that there was no need to bring cash or credit cards... all you need is your sail and sign card to pay for food or beverages. It is all charged to your onboard account. Here's a photo... The water is warm, the sand is perfect. However, there are a few rocks in the water... so water shoes will make it a lot more comfortable to wade out in to the water. Read my full review of this shore excursion at http://www.zimfamilycockers.com/CarnivalConquest.html I discuss this shore excursion about 2/3 of the way down the page. slkirk22 Posted October 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2013 Can you tell me if they have lockers available?
ukbballfan Posted October 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2013 No lockers as of October 4th. They are in the process of building more buildings but the dolphin trainer told me the next one to be completed would be for the employees.

kimmimom Posted March 12, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2015 we did the dolphin/sting ray encounter here in Jan. THe policy had just changed to them not accepting S&S card. I enjoyed the encounter, but the beach is very rocky and I would not do it for the beach alone. If you do it, be sure to ride on bottom of boat over there so you can hear what they are talking about; sounded much funner downstairs.

Hey thanks for the help. we have friends that are going to be on their 1st cruise so I figured the hub and I will chill by the pool while the girls have fun in the ocean. We have a cabana rented to make sure we are able to get the shade if needed. Any tips as far as food prices? Thanks again
