peter_krynicki Posted October 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Has anyone taken this excursion and would you recommend it? No, but, it's not an excursion like a pub crawl. It's more like a big party with wine and food tastings held at the Truman Waterfront. It's explained here ---> http://www.aidshelp.cc/taste.html It's a big benefit and looks like a lot of fun. peter_krynicki Posted October 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Has anyone taken this excursion and would you recommend it? Oh! *That* taste. 8-) Kermit's, Peppers, and what looks like lunch at the Ocean Key's Tiki Bar. And a T. Keeping in mind that Peppers has free tastings anyway (you can BYO), it would depend on the cost of the whole thing. All of these are relatively close to each other so doing them on your own wouldn't be a big hastle. Pjk
reddgrits Posted October 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2013 My daughters and I did this excursion and we really enjoyed it. You get a cute t-shirt and go to 3 places for food samples: shrimp, conch fritters and delicious mango salsa at the first stop. Then we went to Peppers which is just a wonderful comedy interaction with all kinds of samples to try, we were here for a long time but you get to try so many things! Then we went to Kermits for samples and a big chunk of key lime pie. Along the way your guide gives a lively commentary about Key West. Our guide was Rich, and he was hilarious! It was really fun.:)

Yes, you are referring to a cruise ship shore excursion which has nothing to do with the annual "Taste of Key West" fundraiser.;) Mike:)
