dmk Posted October 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2013 We will be using Rome Cabs for a transfer from FCO to Civitavecchia? I believe it's about 130 euros for 2. What would you suggest for a tip?

LondonTowner Posted October 22, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Yes, I agree, a total of 10 euros is fine.
Rare John Bull Posted October 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2013 My experience of local trips in cabs in Rome (not transfers) is that the drivers create their own tips. There's always a reason for a supplement on the metered fare. It's across the river, it's a Thursday, it's before 10pm, it's after 10pm, there's an R in the month, etc. I admire the ingenuity :D so I don't argue - we'd have given them extra in a tip anyway. JB :) Yes John, cabs in Rome do have all those arguments. I think the OP was talking about a private transfer company "Rome Cabs", not the normal taxi cabs. Thanks for the laugh!
