what time allowed to get off the ship after downline disembarkation is approved?

Hi! Anybody experienced getting off before final port? This is our first time to cruise and we will be requesting a downline disembarkation, getting off in Athens port of call (missing Naples and the final port Rome). Are we allowed to decide what time to get off the ship. Like if all our papers etc. are cleared, must we get off asap or can we linger? Because we plan to relax in the morning and to take our lunch onboard, timing our departure from the ship so we will arrive at our hotel at checkin time of 2:00pm. Thank you.
