Cupcrazy Posted October 31, 2013 Author #177 Share Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Like I said in review on post #1, dinner at Giovanni's Table was FANtastic! >Here is the menu< Insalata Caprese per Due (Bocconcini) On the left is Mozzarella in Carrozza alla Giovanni (mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto on ciabatta), top right is Antipasti per Due (Italian salami, prosciutto, marinated anchovies, grilled artichokes, roasted peppers, zucchini, olives and Gambonzola cheese) All of the prosciutto is freshly sliced by the waiters using this slicer. By the time I got around to taking a picture the Ravioli di Polpa di Granchio (Menu says crab ravioli but I remember the waiter saying lobster) there wan't much left Edited October 31, 2013 by Cupcrazy

Cupcrazy Posted October 31, 2013 Author #179 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Cannoli Chocolate Cake Tiramisu & Panna Cotta That night we had reservations for the 9pm comedy show at Comedy Live, deck 4 mid-ship. The 2 comedians were Mike Wilson who also did some great Impressions and Rondell Sheridan. Rondell was the father on Disney shows "That's so Raven" & "Cory in the House". They were both hilarious. There was a woman in the front row who couldn't keep her mouth shut. She kept answering all of the rhetorical questions. It was very annoying, but they kept making fun of her so that made it funny. After the comedy show Dave & I went to Opal Theatre to watch the Love & Marriage Game Show which started at 10:30. This is a PG-13 show. The longest married couple was 52 years. When trying to find the newlyweds there were a lot of couples who stood up and said they had been married for only a couple weeks. In order to get on stage they were all asked to kiss for 30 seconds and the audience would vote for who gets to be the contestants. 2 couples went a little overboard when they jumped on stage. On the left you can see the one girl riding her husband. It was crazy. Needless to say they were the couple who won the spot. The show was funny and the older couple won. Cupcrazy Posted October 31, 2013 Author #181 Share Posted October 31, 2013 After going to Windjammer from breakfast the previous couple days, we decided to try Johnny Rockets. >Johnny Rockets Breakfast Menu< I had the Patty ‘n Eggs. What I didn't realize was the grilled beef was actually just a hamburger. This was the pancakes (obviously) and Eggs “My Way”
cruisingwithtwins Posted October 31, 2013 #182 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Owner's Suite. Sorry I wasn't invited in so all you get is the door. Had I made it to the mingle I would have brought you to the ATS. Your photos are way better than what I took! To take away some mystery from barefoot beach, looking at your buffet pictures, the buffet in barefoot has some different things, kabobs, steak, jerk chicken etc. but otherwise similar. If you have a suite wristband, there are guys in seat sweater golf carts who will tour you around labadee (my kids could have done that all day). The beach attendants in barefoot set you up if you don't have a cabana. They get you towels, loungers etc, beverages.

You are always told to bring a form or photo ID when leaving the ship. I always bring my drivers license. I believe my sister in law brings Caleigh's passport. That is the only form or photo ID she has. Eventually she'll have a health card that will have her picture, so she can leave the passport in the safe. Another plus of universal heath care. Cupcrazy Posted October 31, 2013 Author #188 Share Posted October 31, 2013 On the way back up to the cabin we walked through the Promenade so I snapped a couple pictures. There are many signs around the ship helping you find your way. Remember they always face towards the bow of the ship. These signs are in the elevator lobbies. The ship is divided up into 4 colour coded quadrants. These colours are another way help you find your way around. jamin jul Posted November 1, 2013 #193 Share Posted November 1, 2013 Cupcrazy- thanks for your review and pictures. We go on the Oasis in 2 weeks. I have a question about formal night. Did all men have suit jackets or blazers on or did some men have on just dress shirt and tie at the MDR. I know there is is alot of controversy about this topic- trying to pack for my husband! Thanks . Julie
Cupcrazy Posted November 1, 2013 Author #194 Share Posted November 1, 2013 What is that???? Kind of makes me want to stay out of the water in Falmouth! Its just a small sand bar as the ship pulls up to the port. Don't worry, there is no beach anywhere near it. Cupcrazy- thanks for your review and pictures. We go on the Oasis in 2 weeks. I have a question about formal night. Did all men have suit jackets or blazers on or did some men have on just dress shirt and tie at the MDR. I know there is is alot of controversy about this topic- trying to pack for my husband! Thanks . Julie Hi Julie. I wore a a full suit & tie as I enjoy the whole formal night thing. I saw a lot of suits and some tuxes. I did also see a few men just wearing slacks & a dress shirt with no jacket/blazer. That is what both Aaron & Dave wore. I also noticed that about 80% of people who dressed up did go back to their cabins to change before going out for the rest of the evening.
Cupcrazy Posted November 1, 2013 Author #195 Share Posted November 1, 2013 The patties sold at this stand were amazing! They serve beef, beef & cheese and veggie. They are $3 each. I would suggest adding the cocobun for $2. They were so good and I ate mine so fast, I forgot to take a picture. You're just going to have to try them for yourself. You know they're good when all of the crew goes there too.
Cupcrazy Posted November 1, 2013 Author #196 Share Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) Here is a quick walk through of the port area. One of the jewellery stores we were in had a bunch of police patches on the wall In this hut some of the girls got their hair braided and both Dave & Felicia got air brushed tattoos. The price of hair braiding depends on how much you get done and how many colours your choose. The air brushed tattoos were $8 each and they were told the tattoos should last 7 days. Dave washed his off just before the cruise ended. Dave got a Samurai Warrior Edited November 1, 2013 by Cupcrazy

Cupcrazy Posted November 1, 2013 Author #198 Share Posted November 1, 2013 After hours of shopping and looking around, It was getting extremely hot out and nobody wanted to go to the beach. So, Dave & I headed back to the ship. Everyone else was still in the hut waiting to get their hair braided. Beside that hut there was some dancing.
