Cabin 7089 on Marina

We just booked this cabin, and it is directly over the Martini bar. Just wondering if you can hear any noise from the bar, while in the room ?

Thanks,

We were in a cabin over the Martini bar on the Marina's inaugural holiday cruise, and I have a different answer from Jakuehnle.

When the piano is playing and the room is filled with people, we didn't hear any noise. However, we recall that sometimes a string bass (AKA upright bass) would join the pianist. Then, we could hear a low rumble. My husband, a scientist, explained that low-pitched tones travel longer distances and don't get absorbed by materials. In this case, the sound was traveling along the ship's super structure. The sound isn't bothersome. I was actually intrigued to hear evidence that proved something I learned way back when in science class.

Bottom line: The sound is only a low rumble, but it definitely exists when/if there's a bass playing in Martinis.
