Iguazu falls by bus from BO

Recommended Posts

Bonjour à tous,

does anyone ever went to Iguazu falls by bus from BO ? I would like to know about your experience: comfort, reliability, etc.... Thanks in advance.

Sorry. I'm confused. BO=Bolivia?

Not sure you're going to get a lot of response here about long-distance buses because of the demographics of posters here. You might try posting on Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forum for Bolivia and/or Argentina, which gets a lot more of the backpacker crowd. Argentine buses are supposed to be pretty comfortable.

Hi, PCO, as you've posted in a cruise forum, I'm thinking Bolivia may not be what you intend. Is it possible you mean from Buenos Aires? My recall is, those bus rides are about 17 hours and the cost is sometimes fairly close to going by plane. Anyway, the Lonely Planet forum suggestion is good; see also the country- and city-specific forums at Trip Advisor.

Bon voyage! :)

This is a long trip, 17 plus hours. If you choose this option, by all means opt for a bus offering Cama Suite service, equal to first class on a plane. These overnight buses offer decent food and wine, include fully reclining seats, usually wifi and movies, and dividers between you and the seat next to Omnilineas, an online booking service for several bus lines, shows a current price of about 900 pesos 100 dollars or less than at the informal rate of exchange of 9.75 per dollar.
