TDSeest Posted October 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2013 For those who have some questions about the internet / wifi service on the Carnival Magic, here is what I have found: Date: 10/29/30 Time: 3:30 AM – 4:30 AM Cruise: Caribbean out of Galveston (ship not completely full, 3.400 passengers). Laptop: Mac Laptop 15 inch Retina Note: Internet speeds vary based on time of day. The speed is definitely faster in the middle of the night (based on my experience and crew feedback). The afternoon and evening can be very slow. The speed starts picking up beginning at 10:00 PM. The following works: Outlook/Exchange; Connection to SQL Server database; LogMeIn; Skype. FTP seems to be blocked. Internet connection is one device at a time. Logout of one device (e.g. computer) to use another device (e.g. phone). To logout, type “logout.com” in the browser address line.
