LuvWilliam Posted November 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2013 What is the easiest way to get to Maho from the pier? We will be traveling with our one year old. We won't have a car seat. Is there a water taxi? How long is the trip? TIA!
gtaylor Posted November 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2013 The easiest way to Maho is via taxi from the Cruise Facility. The rate depends on how many share your taxi, but ranges from $20 for one or two down to $8 per person. Your one year old may be free. (click) The Water Taxi here only runs between the Cruise Facility and downtown Philipsburg. gary

gtaylor Posted November 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Sorry, I missed that when I went looking for the link. :( Going over I would allow 30 - 45 minutes, but on the return the closer to 3:00 you get the trip gets longer quickly. Leaving by 2:00 you might make it in 45 minutes, but later it can easily be 60 minutes or 90 minutes or even more. Also note that there is a liftbridge between Maho Beach and Philipsburg/Cruise Facility. It was just announced that new opening times go into effect November 18th, and they may cause further problems. Only time will tell.
