elou Posted November 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Want to book the Freedom. Prefer Emperess deck, but seems to be sold out. MY QUESTION: if I book Upper deck, CAN you hear any noise from Promenade deck. It seems like rooms are over casino, bar areas, dance areas. Prefer to be mid-ship, though Aft is okay. Going with 89-year-old mom and she cannot tolerate any sounds that might drift up. Thanks for your help.
Native Floridian 26 Posted November 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2013 I would steer clear from the Upper aft cabins that are above the aft lounge on the ship. They have activities very late. You'd be fine in the foward cabins. I would think the midship cabins would be fine too.
Normal 1 Posted November 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2013 I have stayed in 6393 in the past which is over the specialty coffee shop without hearing any noise from below. Would stay there again.
nylori Posted November 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) We were on the Freedom in August and our Balcony room was fine with no noise but the interior across for the kids, they could hear the lobby bar till about midnight. We were maybe 12 rooms away from the elevators. It was fine for the kids as my daughter stayed out late and my son is 21 and if he was in b4 midnight he said he would play on his phone till the music stopped. It was 6319 and 6321. Anyislandwilldo Posted November 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2013 We book forward on the Lido deck. So convenient to get to the buffet and no noise problems! Review the deck plans and do not book near an elevator.
michelle1836 Posted November 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2013 the empress deck is sold out? how soon are you sailing? perhaps try another cabin catagory for that deck? did you actually call up Carnival or just check online? I would call to double check
