Available Cabins

I'm scheduled to go on a cruise this Saturday. I checked on Monday and there were no outside cabins available. However, today there are quite a bit available. I was hoping to get an upgrade. I'm curious as to why there are so many showing now. Are people cancelling or could there be another reason?

There are always cabins that are held back; I learned this from talking with my pvp a few weeks ago, when I was booking a cruise. I was asking about 1A's, and he gave me a list of others that were available, that I couldn't see when I was checking on line. Enjoy your cruise!:cool: (I have 2 more months of waiting!)

TA's and on-line agencies will sometimes put a hold on a group of cabins to sell. When they can't sell them a few days prior to the cruise, they will release the hold on them making them available again.

I was hoping to get an upgrade.

 

If you really want a specific room, just call and pay for the upgrade. I've done it on my last 3 cruises.

 

I don't think it's very often that people are called and offered an upgrade for free, unless there has been a price drop anyway. Most people that get calls to upgrade are offered the upgrade for a price. Sometimes that price is worth it to them, sometimes it can't be justified.
