minniegidget Posted November 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Thanks to everyone saying how wonderful FTTC is I joined(booked) the club today. We have two cabins booked for next Nov on the Miracle. Does anyone know how many Carnival sells for each cruise. They said there was only 12 left when I booked. KenMo Posted November 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2013 They open up 15 at a time. The number available for the cruise depends on the number of Milestone/Platinums cruising.

WLHyatt Posted November 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2013 The FTTF check in agent on my Conquest cruise in May said they have a maximum of 50 cabins.
riclop Posted November 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Its a waste of money $50. We boarded 5 min after fttc and waited 30 min for our cabin to be ready, not worth $50. You can spend that money in other areas. Edited November 6, 2013 by riclop

You can spend that money in other areas. Boarding must have started LATE if you only waited 30 minutes for your cabin to be ready... they are in general ready at 130? Maybe they need or want their luggage soon, maybe they dont want to wait to get off in a tender port. I sure will use the line at guest services, those lines can be a pain. Its all relative, whats a "waste" to use could be great to someone else. You can spend that money in other areas. Boarding usually starts between 11 and 12. The cabins normally aren't ready until 1:30. Was boarding delayed until 1? If so, you should have added that to your posting. Out of six Carnival cruises, the only time we got access to our cabin before 1:30 was when we had FTTF. Really should be waste of money club! There are more benefits to the FTTF than boarding early. The majority of the people that have used it think highly of it, us included. Yes, it's a money maker for Carnival. That's why they have it and why they are in business. Bingo is also a waste of money but there sure are a lot of people that spend their money on it during a cruise. Of all the postings since it's inception, I can only recall one person that wasn't happy with it. That person was on a B2B and only bought it for the first week thinking it would be for both weeks. They didn't complain about the first week, only that they thought you only had to buy it once for a B2b.
what to go here and there Posted November 6, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 6, 2013 in my eyes it is not a waste of money, I like my membership there are many reasons why those of us purchase it, think it is a good deal, in my room early ( due to health reasons) , express lines -- guest services , tenders - and other benefits it is the best excursion cost for me -- We get it all week not just for 4 to 5 hours

I think that was the best $50.00 of MY money that was spent on a cruise. As you mentioned, there are many more benefits than the early boarding. I "wasted" money in June for the first time and will "waste" money for our upcoming cruise next June!! Just my opinion. ;)

I personally bought it so that we can get on early and slef debark because we live 15 min. from the port and will be home before most people even wake up that morning. The last cruise we went on we self debarked as well but had to wait until the "special people" left the ship but luckily we were like 5th in line after them and was still home before 9:30. I would guess this time we'll be home before 8:30 so it will be well worth it for us. This time we'll be one of the special people so the 50 bucks is well worth it to me. bigdog1958 Posted November 6, 2013 #15 Share Posted November 6, 2013 I guess I dont get the reason to buy Faster to the Fun is to get off the cruise early? I enjoy the cruise, and do not want to rush to get off the ship... I like to eat breakfast on the ship and have my vacation last as long as possible, not sure I would ever think of paying 50.00 to end my vacation early.. I do understand people with small children or that have some health issues wanting to get to their cabin early, but to buy it to end my vacation early does would not be my choice

MichelleChell Posted November 6, 2013 #17 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Best $ I have ever spent just to not have to carry my kids crap around till 1:30! We used every perk and loved it! Have already purchased it for my Dec 2014 cruise.
cruizinisthebest Posted November 6, 2013 #18 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Really should be waste of money club! It’s not a waste of money if you want to spend it. And to each his or her own. I personally don’t care to “waste” money in the casino. But others do. FTTF is optional. Don’t see the value in it? Don’t purchase it. When we cruised last year, one member in our group said she probably wouldn’t by it again. Whereas I’ve already purchased it for our trip next summer. Your experience is NOT typical. You can spend that money in other areas. IMO: Ability to go immediately to your cabin -- totally worth it! For a cruise with 2 tender ports, as our upcoming Legend cruise is -totally worth it! Ability to not have to wait 45" in Guest Services line -- totally worth it!
