Miami - Extended StayAmerica Miami/Airport

I believe this is the hotel that Hotwire is offering for about $33/night. I have cross checked a few websites and am fairly sure about this. While the price is good, I really wanted to see if anybody had stayed there before. We are just looking for a one night pre-cruise stop. We're in our twenties so hopefully there is something around there, but we don't need to be in south beach or anything too crazy. I was also wondering out about how much a cab ride might cost to the port. I realize that the downtown hotels are closer to port and some have shuttles...they just cost around $80-$120 per night. Our plane gets in at 6:30pm on the Saturday night and we cruise the next day. I appreciate any advise on what this place is like.

As to the cab - from around the airport to the port is a flat rate, around $20.

Extended Stay at $33 is a good price. There isn't anything to do near any of the airport hotels. Good alternatives to the craziness of South Beach would be either Coconut Grove or Bayside areas.
