Just been on the phone today to pay the rest of a deposit....I got through to what seemed to be a foreign call centre on an expensive 0871 number (couldn't find an alternative)

 

'I notice you haven't taken advantage of our all inclusive option, it's just £xx per person' No thanks! I just want to pay the balance it really annoys me how they try to get more cash out of you.

Thats why we normally book at a Thomson shop

I don't mind Thomsons trying to sell, they are commercial and that's the name of the game, I just wish they would come up with some decent offers. There is no point offering me the same price that's in the brochure or on the website. I didn't take the offer when I booked so unless they have a deal I am unlikely to take it now. They offered me upgrade to premier on the flight to Barbados in Feb 2014 at nearly £400 (I see its now over £400) The big deal seems to be free booze! Bearing in mind the return flight is at night I cant see the attraction personally!

Not just Thomson! A few weeks a go we were upgraded FREE to a suite on Braemar for next February - great :) Then last week I had a call to ask if we would like to upgrade to a superior suite for only £480 EACH. I declined ;)
