Can anyone tell me if the cabin door and closet door are made of metal? Are you allowed to decorate your door? Thanks in advance

I saw this Sunshine door online and it looks like wood to me. A little disappointed cause I was planning some magnetic decorations. The Conquest had metal doors, but now I have to replan my decoration strategy!

The doors are metal, just like all the other ships. That's just fake wood print.

Metal does not mean magnetic. Magnets don't stick to aluminum.

 

Magnets we usually stick to the walls and use to hang garments on were not effective in our cabin on Sunshine.

 

We'll be in a different cabin next weekend and I'll try again. Also the doors this time.

Yes, the doors are metal and magnets will work. I was curious about this when I was on board over Halloween, and I will admit to being a little bad...I picked up someone's decoration to see how it was attached, and it was a magnet. No worries, I put it back exactly where it was originally. Some cruisers also used the magnetic letters to spell out their names as well.

I took all my decorations with magnets attached on the Freedom in Auguat and they didn't work. Had to find tape.. They may be metal buts magnets did not work in my case..:(

Room doors on Sunshine Lido are NOT magnetic. Double stick tape works fine though.

Just to confirm I just sailed on Sunshine and the cabin door is metal and magnets did work on my cabin door

We were on the Sunshine in May/June. Our door was magnetic. I used magnets to hang important papers on the back of our door. The walls however are not magnetic. I'm wondering if the new cabin doors aren't magnetic since so many people say theirs wasn't. We were in an older cabin.
