Clam Shells on GSC

Try to get there on the first tender. Otherwise you'll be back a row or two with the view of another clamshell in front of you. Also, try to get one with mesh in the back for ventilation. They're a bit cooler.

Yes I did by going to the shore excursion desk once I boarded

Russianmom,

You can only book clamshells when on board. They cost $29 and include priority tender tickets, so you can get on one of the first tenders. Due to weather, GSC is often not visited as it can be tricky tendering. We've been lucky, successfully made it both times we have been. Next week will be the third time.

If you do miss out due to weather, you will be credited back the fee of the clamshell.

One other thing, they are first come firstly served once on the island, and the front row has nice views over the beach. Those go quickly. We got there later and ended up with a third row clamshell, and could only see the clamshells in front of us. Also, some have ventilation screens, some don't. It is REALLY hot in them if you don't get ventilation.

Hope that helps.

So the clam shells are $29. How do they charge it? To the room or to one person in the room? Just want to make sure we are not charged twice. How do the priority tickets work? Do you get a ticket for the room or does each person get a ticket? Sorry for all the questions.
