Clarea Posted November 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2013 any place on the allure to watch monday night football? just like to keep on check on the game. Probably in the On Air Club, deck 5, Promenade. If nothing else is going on, you may get lucky and see it on the Aquatheater screens.
At Sea 4Ever Posted November 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Ok just got off the explorer.. We had a bit of an issue with getting certain games broadcasted. We are huge NFL fans so watching the games on Sunday, Monday and Thursday were important to us. They first told us that unless the game was on Fox or ESPN they weren't able to get it. Leaving from Bayonne there were alot of unhappy Jet and Giant fans who weren't to happy that the sports bar would be airing a soccer game on a Sunday afternoon. My husband and I first went to guest relations and they blew us off. Then we called Miami directly but yet we still got no where. It was only till we ran into the art director from the ship who went out of his way to email the top person in charge of broadcasting on the ship. Within an hour we had the Jet game broadcasting all thru out the ship. It may seem silly but that made our trip. For the rest of the week all major sporting events including the World Series were broadcasting in all areas of the ship.
reedl Posted November 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2013 ...snip... For the rest of the week all major sporting events including the World Series were broadcasting in all areas of the ship. Normally the only programming available on the ship is ESPN programming. Even though the World Series was on FOX this year on the US, ESPN carried in for international broadcast (and did a MUCH better job BTW) Local broadcasts are typically not available outside the local coverage area since they are typically broadcast using spot beams. In the case of NFL Sunday Ticket, they should be available, but the ship's receivers might not be activated to receive that.

OCruisers Posted November 15, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 15, 2013 On Air Club is always your best hope. Even when your can't actually see the game, you can watch the scores. LuLu ~~~~
rwisles72 Posted November 16, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2013 Was on the Allure in October and just got off the Explorer. Even though the ship doesn't carry cbs,nbc or fox,you will be able to see a game at 1 and at 4, and a Sunday, Monday and Thursday night game. They filter the games in on ESPN International (channel 25 in Stateroom). On the Allure they showed the 1 pm game at the aqua theater and the on air club. then the night games were all on at the On air Club.
