In Baltimore what is the earliest you have gotten to the port and on the ship without VIP or FTTF ?

11ish. I've cruise twice from the port. Very easy to get on and off, so a fast process.

In Baltimore what is the earliest you have gotten to the port and on the ship without VIP or FTTF ?

 

We sailed Pride in October 2012. We got to the port before 9:00. Porters took our luggage right away. The port building was open but the screeners had to turn on the scanners for us. They were really nice and we all laughed about our early arrival. We got our S&S cards right away and took our seats.

 

We didn't get onto the ship until after noon because of a Coast Guard inspection. But we did make friends with security, the port personnel, and other passengers as they came in.

close to 10? we were the first ones there on our first cruise. we got dropped off which is better than parking ( you may have to wait in a line to be let in). on the ship before noon with out FTTF or VIP

I've been on the Pride three times and each time arrived at the port at about 1pm(live about 15 miles away). On the boat and in the room in about 35 mins total. Have your paperwork ready and in order(like a Russian checkpoint). Be friendly and take everything in stride and the time will zip by.

I have sailed on the pride twice, both times go to the pier about 11am, but had to wait in the parking lot, as they did not let us in until around 11:30am.. so if you are driving, you probably cant get through the gates until around then. If you are being dropped off you can ge there earlier. Both times we got on the ship between 12:30 and 1pm without FttF.

We left on the Pride November 10th. We purchased FTTF and were among the first to board at 1:05 pm. They had all kinds of excuses such as got into port late, didn't get clearance etc. But I am sure the folks boarding on the 17th also didn't get onto to early because we left the port at 11:30 and they were still disembarking. FTTF definitely not worth it here.

We left on the Pride November 3rd, got to the port via taxi from the airport at 10AM. Went right in alongside the VIP's and FTTF's. Check-in and getting S&S cards were simple. Waited very close to the VIP's and FTTF's and boarded right behind them with no delay at 11:30.

 

Also, I will simply mention that our balcony room was ready upon boarding, we were able to get on the 2nd tender boat to HMC and were probably among the first 25 people off the ship at disembarkation as we had an ealy flight back to Boston (off ship and at airport by 10:15AM) We did not ever need to use the help desk but the lines were never long anyways.

 

Based on this experience, we will likely never purchase FTTF (but we are very much looking forward to being platinum a few cruises from now!)
