Picking a Balcony on Breakaway

I was offered 9878 and 10880. When I look at the deck plan balcony of 9878 seems to be on an angle and very small. Would like to have bed near patio door. A little worried about Deck 9 being right over Waterfront for noise and smoking. Hoping to hear your opinions.

8738 has a very large balcony being on the curve of the ship, and the bed is beside the balcony door.

ETA; Did you know this prior to boarding?

Yes. This is a "secret" large balcony due to the incorrect deckplans and whatnot. The plans don't show this cabin with an angled balcony, nor 8740, albeit with a smaller angled balcony. 9736 above 8738 similar too.

No, the deck plans show a regular balcony. When we got in there, wowza. Huge. You could sit 8 people out there.

I don't know if the deck plans are the same on each deck, but we are booked in 12880 and we were told the bed is by the balcony.

I am not sure when you are cruising, but I just figured I'd point out that for our cruise in July, the aft balconies are only $40 per person more than the regular balconies. We just booked a few days ago, 9318, and from what I have read here on CC, the balcony is 158 square feet. Also, the bed is by the balcony. As of the other day, 9818 was still available and is an identical cabin to what we booked. Just sayin' :)
