How often do buses run to Maho

Please keep in mind that we did this back in 2009, but I can't imagine that it changed very much. First of all, instead of taking the water-taxi off the ship to the town, we walked. a VERY pleasant & easy walk--5 to 10 minutes. Go to the left of the ship once you get out of the "ship's compound". THEN, when you reach the town, ou need to find "Back Street" which was one steet over from all the tourist shops. "Back Street" was a one-way street & FULL of busses. The License Plate will say "Bus" In the corner window will be a sign that tells you where it is going.

We looked for "Mullet Bay" or "Maho Beach". Please remember that there are TONS of buses & they are leaving all the time!! Next time, I would be more selective & not hop on the 1st bus that we saw. Be a little more selective & get a nice bus.

Just ask the driver before you actually get on the bus & tell him where you want to get off. He will keep a watch for you & told us when to get off.

When we arrived at the beach, we asked him where we needed to stand to get a bus back--he pointed it out to us. We road on a VERY nice going back! We literally had to wait 2 minutes & the bus was there (you have to remember that this bus stop is by the airport, so there are ALWAYS buses going back & forth).

We had 2 teenagers at the time & they LOVED this transportation!! Very cheap & much more fun than a boring cab drive!!

Of course they take american money.
