agriculture line

When we were on a cruse out of San Juan in 2009,we had to stand on a us agriculture line with our luggage prior to the regular check in line which obviously was prior to security. They did not seem to care that my dw walked with a cane and that i myself due to arthritis can not just stand in line too long. We are not at wheelchair status so they just made us stand in the 3 lines . do they still have that extra line as that is discouraging us from doing another cruise out of san juan(and they have some great itineraries)

yes i guess i have become a grumpy old man-lol:

The agriculture inspection is a U.S. federal requirement still in effect, but the airport has a new private operator which has made and is making the entire departure/arrival procedures much more tolerable. What we recommend is that you hire a skycap or porter and he will expedite your luggage through the inspections. It's only a dollar or two per bag.

Using a porter will make everything easy. He will take your luggage through inspection

and to check in line. If you have any mobility problems, you can ask for a wheelchair

to take you through security. It speeds up the whole process. I have done it.
