Rare dna1990 Posted November 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Got this notice from RCI, so expect a slower boarding process for the first trip in/out for NOS. Dear Navigator of the Seas guest, This is Royal Caribbean Cruises contacting you with important information about your upcoming cruise vacation. Due to governmental formalities for the arrival of the Navigator of the Seas in Galveston, boarding will be delayed on November 24th. Please consult your travel documents and adhere to the specific check in time for your deck.
jonbgd Posted November 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Isnt the Navigator getting back from a TA and Galveston is the first US port? If so they have to do the USCG inspection along with all the Boarder patrol inspections besides the normal passport Expect a couple hour delay unless the port is fogged out again:eek: We will be sailing her after drydock:D
crazy4themouse Posted November 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Does that mean sailaway will probably be delayed as well? DS & I are going to pop over and watch Navigator's first sailaway, but don't want to get there too early.. -gina-
jonbgd Posted November 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Not sure if sail away will be delayed. We might go down there this weekend for sail away, just depends on the weather
ssb Posted November 29, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) We brought in Navigator from Rome and Barcelona We had friends from Galveston home by 8:00 and 9:00. We had leisurely breakfast And met other friends to help off ship in a wheelchair. Wheelchair procedures by Rcl were deficient and inefficient but not major problem. RCL handled disembarkation very well considering Customs and Immigration problems. Staff in terminal very efficient also. Customs and Immigration though is still a MAJOR problem and understaffed to handle all the passengers. They admitted this and C&A agreed to this at their stations and we're apologizing. Washington we have a problem!!!!! Edited November 29, 2013 by ssb
