lady_mac Posted November 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2013 I took this tour 2 weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. We had a group of 4x4 vehicles take us around the island and through the rain forest and were shown lovely views of the island and the ship. We were also taken to the highest point of St. Kitts and along the way we were shown various plants & herbs and their uses. We ended on the black sand beach and were allowed to use the facilities at Sunset Restaurant. There are a few restaurants on the beach, however, the people weren't the friendliest so we returned to Sunset. I booked the tour through Royal Caribbean, it's Greg's Safari and Greg himself was with us the entire tour. He was born and raised in St. Kitts, 5th generation. lady_mac Posted November 29, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2013 The tour left at 1p.m. and we returned close to departure time. There were merchants on the beach, however, there's a shopping area next to the port. We had about 10 vehicles and I think Greg himself was one of the drivers (not sure, I was in the last vehicle). Remember to take water and comfortable walking shoes. I just found a flyer, there's also a website: Gregssafaris dot com.
