Best Barbados resort to spend the day

Hi

 

Any recommendations as to the best resort we can spend the day in (day pass)? not bothered about all inclusive but looking for a very nice private beach (amazing would be good) and pool. Ideally we would like to book in advance and if the cost is right would consider a day room.

 

We are two adults / 2 children so rules out adult only resorts. Looked at hilton, Sheraton, Marriott etc but can't decide the best option in terms of luxury, beauty, convenience etc.

 

Would appreciate any help
