Just Confirmed- Free Cruise on the Breeze

Not rubbing it in, but has this ever happened to others here?

 

Usually when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But I was given a letter from the casino last day of the cruise we just got done with last week. It was offering a free 3 day to 8 day cruise.

 

My first thought was.... Free?, right! For me maybe, but would have to pay for my wife. With airfare and her cruise fare, it would not exactly be free. Or cruise would be limited to certain weeks.

But I checked it out anyway, and the whole room is free, for her and me. And a spring break week and on one of the best ships!

 

All I pay it the government fees and I included trip protection- a whole $354.80 for an 8 day cruise on the Breeze.

 

Sure, I gambled a lot on the last cruise, but I did come home with more money than I took, so I really didn't pay for the free one. Just hope I can repeat the last performance.

 

Many others ever get free cruises with no restrictions like this?

my uncle won the Free Cruise give a way raffle thing. They used it for Magic when she was still in Europe. I think they paid some as they chose to upgrade rooms and such but yes it happens. Just never to me

Congratulations! I've read on here of others getting letters from the casino manager or mail offers for free cruises. I usually only spend a couple hundred in the casino so I get a little bit of casino cash and I'm thrilled even with that :).

They are probably hoping to get back some of what you took home from the last one :).

I am sure that is what they are hoping for, but I have news for them. I only take so much and when it's gone, I am done.:p I just never reached my last dollar on the last one.:)

Hello Hawk, I was on the same cruise. Do you remember how many points you had? I was at almost 3000.The casino host said they would give me info on a discount on a future cruise but failed to provide me with anything. Before I contact the players club to ask what perks I might be eligible, thought I would get some 411 on numbers?

I didn't get points, as I only play Dice. They track you differently on the table games, but if it's any consolation to you, I put down $1000 right off the bat. I was going for the free drink card. I won almost 5K for the week.

However, when we came off the Glory last year, they did send a mailing out to me offering discounted cruises in the future. So maybe look for something in the mail or call them anyway.

I am on the Breeze in December and that is a free cruise from the casino it ended up costing my around 800.00 but I also added a person. This the second free one this year and I am not complaining. Congratulations on getting a freebie.

My BIL kept telling us about the money he won gambling and one day pointed out to DW that he only talks about winning.

 

Sure enough he was well over his head and it ultimately destroyed his life.

 

Since than we very rarely put down more than a 20 at any time in the casino.

All gamblers only tell you when they win. I know I gamble. I do the same. I am not a big gambler but am definitely down in the long run. Most won't admit that. I don't play enough to get free drinks because it's cheaper just to pay for the drinks. Also I don't play that much.

Sorry to hear about your Brother-in-law. I see it around here everyday too. That's why I only risk what I can loose and no more. You have to know your own limitations and know when to walk away. As with everything in life. Self control.

Yes, last cruise, they gave out about 6 envelopes, all were the free cruise except mine. It said because I already had one booked, they would give me some bonuses. I called, I got 50$ and a Drinks on us card. WTH?? I've always played over a grand on any cruise, and the last one was no different. I am still irritated as the Casino Host made out that I was getting something super. I felt like I'd been slapped. I guarantee they won't get any or very little of my money from now on.:( I don't play for the goodies, but when they are alluded to, and don't appear, it irritates.

I won a free cruise playing bingo. You will need to check after the free cruise to see if it is counted towards your 10 or 25 cruise total. For me, because my name was the one who won the cruise, it didn't count, but for my wife who cruises with me it counted. Now she is one cruise ahead LOL:confused:

WOW. That doesn't seem right. It's days sailed, not days paid for. I would call customer service and complain. It's worth a call.

 

For me, I am at 63 now, but want the 8 day coming up to count towards Platinum.

From what others have said on here, it's both days sailed and days paid for. I'm surprised that the above poster's wife got credit for a free cruise.

I'll be in the Glory next week (7 nights) and it is 100% free, including taxes and even tips. Not part of a casino deal or a customer complaint. :)
