On board casinos

It's a given that slots are a losing game in most casinos and expecially on cruise ships. A few times my wife got very lucky on board. Anyone have personal knowledge about the slots on AZ?

I am afraid that the slots in the casino are not the best.

 

They are rather old fashioned and unexciting.

 

Notwithstanding this I am sure you will still have a fun cruise.

Simply stated, the casino is lousy. Slots are exceedingly tight- no where near other ships we have been on. On top of that the slot machines need updating badly; and are noisy- Poor Max trying to play a piano. And finally the casino staff is not overly friendly or sociable-not anywhere near the wonderful AZ crew. I suppose that should be expected as few people visit the casino and the staff probably view their contracts as purgatory.

Totally agree. If the casino is high on your priority list, then you'll be disappointed in Az. But other on-board experiences more than made up in our minds.

Don't choose AZ for the casinos. Very few penny slots and as someone said very tight.

My husband loves the Casino on Journey. He says the dealers are very friendly and he usually wins. :)

 

He says slots are a mugs game though but I like them. I did win $1800 on a Celebrity ship a few years ago but never won anything on Azamara.

Well I did say the dealers on JOURNEY not on Quest. But then for REALLY disinterested dealers you should try Holland America. It's an effort for them to even spin the Roulette wheel.
