You really should not call it Lobster Tail, its more like a crawfish tail......:D

Just pointing out that it is back to a MAINE lobster tail instead of the Caribbean Rock Lobster that they have had in recent years.

I'm overall excited about these changes. I am a little worried on the dessert side though - I've seen A LOT of nuts (I'm allergic), and not a huge pie fan, so here's hoping they offer something for those of us with allergies other than WCMC (which I like, but don't want every night!)

I am surprised at the steak offering now. I only remember seeing the flatiron in the last two trips in the MDR. It seems that most of the menus have a NY sirloin (hopefully it's the NY strip I am used to) available. It looks like the food is improving at the cost of washing all the tablecloths and setting out all those ghost people chargers all the time. I am impressed so far and hope the improvements are liked enough that they roll them out to the rest of the fleet early, ideally before May so I can see it for myself on the dream.

If it is.................when you order a steak..you can also orders sides...baked potato and vegetable medley....good. I like ordering sides separate from the main menu.

Back in the days of the birth of Caribbean cruise ships, DH and I sailed on the NCL Skyward and Sunward. they gave each passenger souvenir menus. I saved mine. Every night, a server came around with a tray of four vegetable sides. they came after your entrée came. they were delicious.

The food was divine. The entertainment was show girls dancing and singing. pretty good to a girl from Alabama. One slot machine. Which DH found. Ports..nice. Jamaica has just become independent and it was lovely. The dark patina of mold...that covers all poverty stricken places was not there. People seemed pretty prosperous. Not selling stuff as if their lives depended on it.....and it probably does.

Haiti was hell. Ton Ton Macuees on the streets. Their dead eyes missing nothing. A feeling of just horror is the best way I can put it. Papa Doc was deep into VooDoo. My DH and I, one other man..got off of the ship and walked to the Iron Market. The odor almost killed me. I spent every cent I had. Never have I pitied people so much. I bought some Orange perfume...just to be buying it............and I have never seen it anywhere else. The fragrance was haunting....sweet and citrus at the same time.

I like today better. I liked the food better then. I remember a coconut cake..layers of it with different fillings they served on birthdays or such. The couple sitting across from us..shared theirs with us...............I mean. right out of a bake off convention.

Still more to do today. I manage to knock back three meals and ice cream and cookie treats at the cookie bar......daily. Someimes I make it to Tea too. the food must be better than OK. I like the casino. It does not like me. I like the production shows. Electronic. Dancing and Singing. I like them all. NO magicians. Never went to a comedy show. DH has hearing issues. Want to do that one day.

I hope they keep baking those melt in your mouth chocolate chip cookies in the Buffet. DH and I have come close to blows over who snuck in and ate all of the cookies saved for before bedtime. Not me!

AND the grilled ham and cheese in the Deli......that is a really, really good sandwich.

Pardon my ignorance but what are "ghost people chargers". Sounds like a San Diego Zombie football team.

Chargers are the plates they remove the moment you sit down and they give you your napkin. I think the "ghost people" chargers refer to those that are set out for seats where no one is sitting (i.e. ghost people).

I noticed the same thing. Lots of nuts in the desserts. My DH isn't allergic but just doesn't like nuts so hoping there will be some other options. Nut allergies are so common, though, that it seems like they'd have some kind of nut free option other than WCMC.

I'll reserve judgment on the overall menus until I've tried them. Looks like it won't be rolled out on my Breeze sailing so could be a while. The tablecloth thing doesn't bother me at all and I see some stuff I like about the new menus so will be interesting to try it.

Other odd thing I've noticed.... seems to be ricotta cheese in a whole lot of dishes on the menus published?
