Any suggestions for a 8, 14 & 17 yr old?

Trying to decide what to do while in port. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

With children your port time is so much better than having an afternoon/evening stop.

 

Our grandchildren (about 11 & 16 at the time) enjoyed walking to Fort San Cristobal and roaming around through the tunnels and things there. I thought they would think it was "lame" but they actually liked it.

 

If the ship is offering an excursion to El Yunque Rain Forest that could be another option. Because of the timing, I would stick with the ship's tour if you decide on the Rain Forest.

For a half day port stop San Juan is not the best place to try to go to the beach or for any other type of water activity.

There aren't too many beaches close for a short stop, condado is a bus ride away, but its pretty rough. Good for body surfing, and it's not the cleanest beach.
