Thank you for the pictures. The food looks good and I am glad to see everything seems to be served separately bc if I want a little something extra I don't want a whole plate of everything else.

Looking forward to trying this menu in Feb on the Liberty.

Oh and I like Red Lobster. Admirals Feast.

So I'm the only one at my table that would like the apple pie and the flatbread. Does it have to be delivered whole I wonder. Seems like there will be a LOT of food wasted (even more than there is now).

Thank you Geovet for the pictures!!!

AM I the only person who cruises who likes the Red Lobster?

I like the salad. I like the Thousand Island Dressing. I like the cheese biscuits a lot. I like Walt's Favorite Shrimp. ( We live in Jax. We buy shrimp a lot, boil it with shrimp boil and enjoy. We are not Shrimp Virgins. My husband grew up in Florida. shrimping with nets and such.

Fried Shrimp. The Red Lobster does it fine IMHO.)

I like their coleslaw. Mayo based. a little sweet. I like their baked potatoes. they stay warm.

why are they always the restaurant put down? I have eaten at restaurants that are five stars. and where the food is served on a saucer sized plate. Not much food. Not that much better than any average restaurant.

At Red Lobster you get what you paid for. Real. Honest Food. Cooked well.

and I confess. I like the Olive Garden too. Their salad is great. Their chicken Pharm...really good.

I confess I like them both too. Lobster Pizza, Crab Legs, Salad, and Cheese Biscuits at Red Lobster and Salad and Stuffed Chicken Marsala and my favorite drink Venetian Sunset at Olive Garden. We always have a great meal when we go to either one....but I also enjoy Applebees and Outback too. We don't need 5 star, either in decor or the food, to enjoy a good meal. Seems 5 Star is what some posters here want, both in decor and in food...on an Olive Garden budget. It's no wonder they get disappointed and complain when their expectations are not met.

I do not like chain restaurants in general (Like Red Dumpster or the Olive Pit) and they all serve Pre Frozen food. I also live in Florida the restaurants for the most part are not good at all and way over priced there are some decent steak houses here in the Tampa Sarasota areas but $$$. That is what I miss the most from cities like Detroit, Boston, New York, Dallas and so on they have some great food good mom and pop places and the quality is good or they close. Florida can get away with bland or frozen food to sell to the snow birds yuck. Carnival food is way better than what we get here.

I think some people worry about small stupid stuff way to much. Like table clothes!! Omg people give it a break! Climb out from under your rock and see most fine dining doesn't have table clothes! That went out in the 80's!

You will find here people do not like change. Or anything that may alter there expected experiece on the ship

Funny, I find Carnival foods to be in line with Canes and Walkers , K&W

Any good recommendations for Detroit? Heading there in 2 weeks for the Lions vs Giants game.

Thanks for the photos. Anyway to let us know what the dishes were and if they were good? What's the small dish lower left? It looks like a dessert.

And it looks like empanadas in one photo. How were they?

Thank you Geovet for the pictures!!!

You can order a single portion. You have the option of family style if you and your family want the same item.

I will be on the Dream in January, but I think I read that this new dining experience will not. Are they phasing in the new menus over a long period of time? I guess I shoulds assume then, that we will have the same menus as in the past?

Nope, you are not the only one. I love RL. I don't want it on my cruise, but I love it any other day.

Yes! It totally depends on the scale of dining you're looking for.

Cuisine? Try Michael Symon's Roast, Downtown. SO GOOD! Or Brizola inside Greektown Casino.

Pizza? PizzaPapalis. Get the VIP. Warning: you will have to wait about 40 minutes for your food even if the place is dead. Why? They make the dough from scratch and bake a perfect flaky, soft, yet crisp deep dish pizza. YUM!

Feelin' like a burger? The Detroiter Bar on Beaubien. Definitely a Detroit classic. Such a fun atmosphere, too.

Have fun! But please don't stray off the beaten path. lol.

(Sorry for the thread hijack. That will be all.) :-)

JH just posted a link to all the menus on his Facebook page!!!!!!!!

Skimmed through them. DH and I can find something to eat but my favorites are gone. No more martini braised Basa and the desserts don't look that great. Vegetarian might have a hard time some nights.

Grand Mariner Soufflé and Bitter n Banc are GONE! :(:(:(

Also no Creme Brûlée, WAH

Even if some of the old favorites are gone it's still an upgrade,

I read it on the internet, so it has to be true.;)

I agree. I love those restaurants.

Also, is it really a fine dining restaurant if waiters sing, dance on tables and sometimes gyrate in the middle of a meal?
