KCI Posted December 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2013 We are considering a cruise tour next Aug. We would spend 6 nights on the land tour (Paris, Avignon, Narbonne, Carcassonne) before arriving in Barcelona to board the Regal Princess to start our cruise. Has anyone done this land tour? We did a Princess land tour in Alaska last year before our cruise and it was fabulous. Just wondering how this tour is and is it worth the $$. Thanks. Linda My husband and I did a land tour in Italy,in October prior to a Med. cruise and it was fantastic! The hotels used were all 4 star, tours and meals that were included were top notch. The guide that accompanied us was terrific very involved. Our Alaska Trip had been our favorite, but Italy outshines Alaska. Although Expensive it was well worth the cost! katisdale Posted December 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2013 We have done two tours, one in Alaska and one in northern Europe (Imperial Cities). We also considered the tour you are looking at. We are scheduled on the July 25 Regal but have decided to do our own tour. We are flying into London, spending a few days there, taking the Eurostar to Paris for a few more days and then taking another train to Barcelona for a day before we board the ship. We will not go into Carcassone, Narbone, or Avignon but will have London instead and will save over $2000 each. Our cruise tours with Princess have been very well done with good to excellent guides and a variety of extra cost excursions available for the "free" times.
