I recently read about updating preferences in Crown and Anchor accounts in order to be eligible. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Hard to tell. Upgrades are so rare that it's difficult to correlate an upgrade with a change in the website preference.

When C&A left a voice mail message for me three days prior to my October Serenade sailing (E-1 cabin), the message was: This is C&A xxxxxx, due to your status (D+) and that you have your profile preference set for automatic upgrade, we have gone ahead and upgraded you. I have assigned you to a JS Cabin xxxx.

 

There were only 30 or so D+ on board this Med cruise, I'm sure the majority of them already had a JS or above booked.

 

I do not believe it's easy to get an upgrade for a sailing out of Port Everglades as easily unless you are Pinnacle (maybe).

Was recently upgraded about a week before sailing from a balcony to an aft JS. I was Diamond and turned D+ after that cruise. It was Brilliance out of Everglades

Could be the 'Upgrade Fairy' many refer to........just luck will get you an upgrade.......:D
