mg33626 Posted December 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2013 My wife really likes the idea of the view of the wake, though I do know the aft cabins on REflection are smaller. I can choose an aft cabin for about $180 total more than a bigger bump cabin. I realize I'm paying more for an aft view versus actual space on the deck. Your thoughts? GoSpurs Posted December 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2013 We enjoy the wake view plus the ability to see what's on both sides of the ship especially when entering or leaving a port. The sailaway from Venice was truly spectacular. A great opportunity for some panoramic photos.
rjrpar Posted December 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2013 We don't care for aft cabins; like to see where we are going. Also, the long walk is very inconvenient. Prefer to be midship with a view of the ports on arrival and departure. Keep the hump.
skibyrd Posted December 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 12, 2013 We love the aft! Had a corner aft on Reflection in October and we love the solitude of being away from the crowds and the view of the wake. We don't mind the walk at all.
alcpa1 Posted December 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Where are you sailing? If it's Alaska or the Med (Venice - definitely) then grab the aft if available. If it's Caribbean the hump will do just fine. I always consider the long hike part of my weight control program. I've never gained a pound in over 30 cruises. royalcruz Posted December 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 12, 2013 We had an aft once on the Solstice and it was awesome! However, as I get older, the long walk in heels is getting harder. I'm glad we did it once but now I like the big hump balconies.
