Tahitian Princess - Minisuites

Hi everyone

Am in the process of booking an AA mini on the TP - roundtrip PPT. Have been offered a wide selection of rooms. Have not sailed south of the Equator before so is Port or Starboard preferred? Also are there any rooms that ought to be avoided if possible?

Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Looking forward to the cruise but not the flights - 11 hours from LHR to LAX and 8 hours to PPT!!!

We are leaving on July 24th for 46 days on the Pacific; same ship as the Tahitian. We too are in an AA mini. Great cabin; lots of space. You'll love it. We prefer PORT side on all ships; just our preference. As for your flights, no sympathy here. It's going to take us 20 hours of flying time + layovers to get from Florida to Beijing! :)

Our mini was located port side for our recent TP cruise. Loved the location and we had beautiful views passing different islands.

We were thrilled by the layout of the mini suites on the TP, totally different then any of the normal minis in the Princess fleet. The small round table and designer chairs were perfect for meals in the cabin or just enjoying a drink before dinner. Lots of space and storage. You will love this stateroom.

Here's a link to pictures and info on the Pacific Princess (Sister to the Tahitian).

We are booked on the Tahitian in Mini's next year and they look great!

When are you going?

Stranger1: We also have 8033 booked for our 2 cruises next year on the TP. After reading the posts about the cabin location I think we made a good choice also. We are sailing this December with our good friends from Temecula. Have to check your area out one of these days.

So glad to read that the noise from above won't be a factor. I was leary about booking a mini suite because of that.

Hulagirl, I'll post a review of the cruise/cabin when I get back. I was in email contact with another CC'er who had that cabin and they said it was quiet and didn't notice any noise even during an afternoon nap!

Thanks Stranger1 for the reply. So glad to know we picked a good cabin. When we booked these 2 cruises a few weeks ago, everything was open to us and we just chose this one. Sounds like it turned out to be a good one.

Will look forward to your review and comments about the room and the ship when you return,.

thanks

Am envious of your cruise but not the flights, Arlene! I hope you have a great time.

Thanks to all who replied - you've been most helpful as always.
