How well do the excursions you buy from Holland America correspond with the Mariner magazine article descriptions for the same ports?

I think the reviews that are found on the HA website are helpful in deciding whether or not the excursion is a good fit for you. I usually read the most glowing and most disgruntled and figure the truth is somewhere in between.

How often do you see a photo in any magazine or travel guide where it is raining or gloomy? Those things will always paint only a glowing picture of any place, and the reality is rarely anything close to that.
