Stoute's Car Rental-Out of business?

Inquired about availability for the visit on our February 2014 cruise and received an email stating that their "cruise terminal location would no longer be operational after December 31st". Bummer :mad:

 

Anyone have another recommendation?

I am flying into Barbados, but dropping off at the cruise port.

 

 

I am using Drive-A-Matic (http://www.carhire.tv). I don't know if you can pick up at the cruise port or not...

Rented from them a couple of weeks back, after pre-booking. All AOK.

But they did seem very quiet & laid-back - surprising considering the volume of business which the cruise port could & should produce - though of course it's all single-day hirings.

Most other agencies on the island offer a delivery/collection service from hotels, perhaps they can do so for the cruise terminal.

Or mebbe someone else will fill the gap at the cruise port.

Stoute's car rentals is still in business but they no longer have the concession in the Bridgetown Port.

 

There are presently inviting Tenders for a new concessionaire.
